Punjab Gramin Bank has 85 Clerk and 75 PO posts, Haryana Gramin Bank 211 and 94, and Himachal Pradesh Gramin Bank 51 and 30.

IBPS RRB 2026 Selection Process for Clerk and PO
The IBPS RRB selection process depends on the post. Clerks are selected on mains marks alone. Officer Scale I has prelims, mains and an interview. Scale II and III have a single exam and an interview. The details below follow the CRP RRBs-XV notification.
Office Assistant (Clerk). The prelims has 80 questions on Reasoning and Numerical Ability in 45 minutes. It only screens candidates. The mains carries 200 marks and decides your merit. There is no interview. Provisional allotment follows, based on mains marks and vacancies, after checks such as local language proficiency.
Officer Scale I (PO). The prelims follows the same 80-question, 45-minute format. The mains is a 200-mark, 2-hour paper. Mains marks decide who is called for interview. Final merit weights the mains 80% and the interview 20%; this 80:20 ratio applies to all officer posts, as the notification states.
Officer Scale II and III. There is no prelims. General Banking Officer and Scale III candidates take a single 200-question, 200-mark exam in 2 hours. Scale II specialists take a 240-question, 200-mark exam in 2.5 hours that adds a Professional Knowledge section. Both are followed by the interview, with the same 80:20 weightage.

Upper age relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer) and 10 years for PwBD candidates. Ex-servicemen and some other groups get further relaxation. How Should Candidates Prepare for IBPS RRB 2026?
The PO prelims is less than two months away, so IBPS RRB exam preparation now has to be focused.
- Build speed for sectional timing. In prelims you get 25 minutes for 40 Reasoning questions and 20 minutes for 40 Quant questions. Practise puzzles, seating arrangement, inequality and syllogism for Reasoning. Drill simplification, approximation, number series and data interpretation for Quant.
